Anti-Spam Provisions

Most of the email addresses on this website have anti-spam elements added to them. Don't worry - it's not too technical! This is a way of preventing the people listed here from receiving junk emails, as there are programs which search through web pages and add any email addresses they find to mailing lists, which they will sell to people who try to sell you junk.

The anti-spam step I have taken is to add an extra word or phrase added into the email addresses listed. To get the real email address, you copy the address given, but remove those extra words. The extra word you have to remove is listed after each email address.

For instance, if the real email address was angie@yahoo.com, what you might see is:

Contact Angie on angie@_homebirth.antispam_yahoo.com (remove _homebirth.antispam_ to get the real email address).

So you would either have to type angie@yahoo.com into the 'to' bar on your email, or copy and paste 'angie@_homebirth.antispam_yahoo.com' and then delete _homebirth.antispam_, either by pressing the backspace key or by highlighting and hitting 'delete'.

There may also be extra spaces in the email address, to fool the rogue programs. Just delete these. Real email addresses never have spaces in them. They may have an underbar, like this: _ , but they won't have a blank space.

I hope this isn't too confusing - best of luck!
